WOW fuel economy: 32mpg @ 75mph.
Unique, head-turning design.
Eyelid headlamps with auto-cornering.
Synthetic oil and lifetime coolant.
Leather seats with French stitching.
Surprising mid-range power.
Silky smooth Japanese transmission.
Good snow traction.
Cavernous trunk.
Free scheduled maintenance.

Improve off-line acceleration and road/wind noise attenuation.
Revise counter-intuitive controls and some quirky dash lights.
Change-out flimsy cruise control, cheap center arm rest, and useless in-dash cupholder.
Add oil pressure gauge and panic alarm on fob.
Upgrade sound system.
2008 Saab 9-3 Review:
Owned the 2.0T now for 53 weeks and already logged over 20,000 miles. Many 300+ mile weekend and holiday junkits across northeast and mid-atlantic, plus daily work commute and erranding in and around DC beltway. Traded over from Infiniti G35 and very satisfied with overall value for the money-- thousands less in purchase price, awesome gas mileage (36mpg @ 55mph IF you EVER drive that slow), lower insurance cost due to highest crash safety ratings in class, and zero out-of-pocket scheduled maintenance. Fix the minor annoyances noted above and this car will be a 5. Can't believe GM is thinking of selling the brand. This is their only epsilon platform that has any real cache.

-Need better gas mileage (I only get 24 highway!!??)
-Need better floor mats.
-Little weak when it starts up.
-HIGH OIL CHANGE PRICE.

Overall, it's a really great Swedish car. I have had one before my '08, and I loved that one. I just have some minor complaints, but my dealer addressed them for me! BORN FROM JETS!

Understated, simplified style both on exterior and interior.
Like the eyebrow light beam over headlamps.
Love gas mileage on highway and acceleration.
Great value for what you get.
Love having car that is not like all the others in neighborhood.
Really like free scheduled maintenance and warranties.

Needs more rear seat leg room.
Cup holder seems weak but interesting design.

9-3 Aero XWD is like a cat in snow.
Great acceleration from the 280 ponies.
Pushing this car to its limit in corners is awe-inspiring. It instills confidence; the combination of AWD and the REAX steering are different, but certainly not in a bad way.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Saab 9-3?
Less road noise. It's pretty quiet, but for this money, I would expect better.
Mileage. I wish there were a Tti diesel Aero XWD available in this country.

Great gas mileage (25 City, 30 Highway).
Sporty performance (turbo is lively with little lag).
Lots of storage space in the SportCombi.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Saab 9-3?
Inside electronics are a bit overwhelming.
Car rides a bit hard in this day and age.
Car rides a little too low. Of course, the low ride may be contributing to its great fuel economy - so maybe it's not that much of a con.
2008 Saab 9-3 Review:
The 9-3 SportCombi is a great value. It's performance on the highway is unsurpassed - it's 4 cylinders cruise effortlessly on the highway and the turbo kicks in only when necessary. Three years of free maintenance make this car a no-brainer for driving enthusiasts. I'm so disappointed that GM gave up on the Saab.

Tight handling coupled with Turbo boost.
Cons: How would you improve 2008 Saab 9-3?
Memory system for seats and mirrors, including reversing, should be automatic at key insertion ala Cadillac. Poor roads are felt and heard due to the sport suspension but a Cadillac CTS does not have this problem; time to modernize Saab.
2008 Saab 9-3 Review:
Just took delivery last week and have about 600 miles on the vehicle which is a 9-3 Aero Sport Combi. So far it is a joy to drive.
