Pros: What do you like about 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
I love the unexpected power of the 2.5 L 5 cylinder engine, very fun to drive.

The responsive steering and handling also adds to the fun factor. Plus, the winter drivability of this car is great, I never had a problem with drifting snow in the Rabbit.

I like the standard features like heated seats/mirrors, power seats/Windows/locks, (ASR) Anti Slip Response that helps in the winter and rainy days, and last but not least, an MP3 port.

It's just an all around dependable and really fun car to drive, and sure it doesn't get 40 miles to the gallon, but I still love it for the shear excitement.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
I would like to see a sunroof as standard equipment.

I am 6'01" and with me in the drivers seat, it doesn't leave a lot of room for the person behind me, as far as leg room. Wish there was just a little more leg room in the back seats, if you've got a taller person sitting in the front seats like me.

Would also like to see factory wheels as standard equipment, and do away with those plastic hub caps.

2008 Volkswagen Rabbit Review:
Overall, I wouldn't trade my Rabbit for anything other than another VW. I love their dependability and reliability, and just how much fun they are to drive.

If you're looking for a fun, affordable, dependable, little car that does provide decent fuel economy and great pick me up power, than you can't go wrong with the Rabbit. And for the price, you won't find a car with as many standard features as the Rabbit.

And last but not least, I haven't found a car that handles the winter weather nearly as well as the VW does, it just keeps on plugging through the snow and ice like it was born for the winter.

This is my first VW vehicle, and they've made me a lifelong customer.

The size, perfect for me. I am Hispanic and 5'4". Leg room is outstanding.
Good engine.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
My horn doesn't work, and I have no idea what it could be.
Window visors would be helpful.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
The engine is very powerful, and I have had no problems with it yet. Stops on a dime, very good brakes.

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
Trunk latch does not open with one push of button like owners manual says, you must unlock all the doors, then open trunk. I agree with previous reviewer that rain/water will pour into interior of vehicle off roof if window open even a crack. (I have two-door). Annoying ding and flashing light on dash when it is cold outside. Uncomfortable seat, can not adjust seat belt to comfortable height where it does not rub on my neck. (I am 5'8" tall) Can not turn off horn honking when car locks, much to the dismay of my neighbors when I come home from work late. I have taken it to two dealers who say they can do nothing about it other than disable the horn entirely. CD player already doesn't work.

2008 Volkswagen Rabbit Review:
The car is great mechanically but there are so many little annoying things about it that it makes it not fun to drive. I regret spending $16,000 on this car.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
responsive, great leg room, impressive audio,

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
tinted windows, rain gutters, (water pours on rear seats on 4 door model when doors are opened, after or during a rain seassion. door mirrors are poorly designed always removing road film splash up off of surface glass, Bluetooth capibilitys and built in I Pod dock would be appricated

2008 Volkswagen Rabbit Review:
Over all great small car with a mid size feel. Gas consupion could be improved and price could be lower but I think for a car with theses great safty features and fun factor VW did good whold like to see more standard features added to base car.

Pros: What do you like about 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
-Above average power (torque/horsepower)
-5 speed manual transmission
-Nimble handling
-Standard equipment
-Surprisingly roomy interior
-Good brakes
-Great safety features
-87 Octane!

Cons: How would you improve 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
-Add a center armrest
-Perhaps a 6-speed manual transmission
-Fog lights would also be a welcomed feature as standard equipment

2008 Volkswagen Rabbit Review:
My 2008 VW Rabbit with manual transmission is everything I hoped it would be. The driver seat is surprisingly comfortable and easy to adjust. I thought I would miss the leather seats in the recently traded Touareg but my backside suggests otherwise. I really enjoy the performance of the five cylinder engine, it's not as fuel efficient as a four cylinder but the "fun factor" is more important than achieving 35+ mpg. I highly recommend the VW Rabbit for those looking for a basic, fun, and enthusiastic driving experience.
