Pros: What do you like about 2009 Audi A4?
I like the stylish new headlights.
The surefootedness of the 4D system.
Fuel economy.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Audi A4?
The standard ride is a bit too soft when cornering.
My biggest problem is with the brakes - it is just not possible to bring the car to a full stop without a jerking the passenger's head back and forth in a sudden jerking movement.
The service foreman drove it and commented that it is impossible to bring the car to a smooth stop and the jerking motion is normal. I was told to forget about smooth stopping as Audi is not designed for that. However, he is not sure what is causing the jerking motion as he has never tried to bring his own Audi to a smooth stop in his years of driving.
Besides the brakes dust tends to constantly coat the wheel rims totally black. You have to forget ever to have a clean and shining wheel rim again for the life of the car.
2009 Audi A4 Review:
Great design concept but the car is noisy on highways even compare to Toyota Camry. The car feel less solid as you would expect from a German car. The brakes problems needs to be resolved asap.

2009 Audi A4 Review:
I have 27,000 miles on my 09 A4. So far; needed to replaced the starter (waited 3 weeks for the replacement), injector went bad which stranded me on the highway (did use the 24 hour service, which was nice), booster in the power steering went bad (another interesting moment driving), burns a quart of oil every 1000 miles, and nagging little things keep bringing it back to the dealer. Trust me, I'll be selling it before the 50K warranty is up.

Great performance except for the slight turbo lag when starting out from a dead stop. This can be unnerving when attempting to negotiate a left turn in heavy traffic.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Audi A4?
There are two cup holders in the center console. The front one is standard size, but the rear cup holder is too small to hold a standard soda can. The rear cup holder needs to be larger.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Audi A4?
The Audi A4 is a great looking car which gets lots of looks from other drivers.
It's also fun to drive. The tiptronic transmission allows you to drive in the sports mode or the manual mode. The turbo charged 4 cylinder engine accelerates like a rocket.
The location of the radio and A/C control knobs takes some getting used to, but this is not a major problem.
The navigation software is not as good as it could be because it does not display posted speed limits.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Audi A4?
The only minus is the turbo lag which occurs when you step on the throttle from a stop. Instead of taking off, there the engine hesitates for nearly a second. This can be disconcerting when trying to make a left turn in traffic or whenever you need to accelerate suddenly.

Overall, this is a very nice vehicle with styling that should hold its appeal for many years to come.

3 litre TDI is a great engine. Lots of torque and very smooth to drive, especially with the 6 auto.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Audi A4?
I simply cannot bring the car to a nice smooth stop. The brakes are way too touchy, way too much overboost of the power brakes. My previous A6 was superb, way better control of the braking system. Is it possible to have the power boost reduced during a regular service??

Its looks and speed. Very impressive.

Also got a defective ignition lock warning with just 13,000 miles on it.
The temp controls and other controls are overly complicated.

It is very luxurious, at the same time not pretentious.

I like the sleek design & the performance of the car with pick-up and driving performance is great.

I have had more problems with this A4 than my previous 2007 A4. Within three months of having the car I have had tires bubble for no apparent reason and a defective ignition lock where it will not release the key.
