I do enjoy the storage.

Gas mileage. It does not get even close to what it says on the sticker.
I would also improve the brakes. I have replaced all four pads and 2 calipers in less then 30,000 km. That to me is completely unacceptable.
The tires are going to have to be replaced and they are definitely not cheap.
I have to 2009 se model. I cheaped out and thank God I did. I would have been even more upset paying anymore for this bucket of bolts. It handles like a shopping cart in the snow. It has absolutely no power claiming it has 173 hp in the inline 4.
I would not recommend this car. Chrysler tried this vehicle before with the Pacifica and it failed miserably. I believe the journey, being on the top 10 most unreliable car list, will fail. North American cars are on their way out and the transfer of wealth is happening because the big 3 refuse to rebrand and investigate why their cars suck and break down so much. I had a Honda Accord before this and had over 300, 000 km on it and had less then $5,000 in its lifetime. So far, with the Journey I have had to put in $1,800 in repairs and it only has 63000 km.
2009 Dodge Journey Review:
Bad on gas, not good on the road. Crappy brakes and tires. No power. Handles like a shopping cart. Overall this car is an epic failure on Dodge's part. The only thing that has the Journey as the #1 selling cross-over in North America going for it is the price. You pay for what you get. Cheap price for a cheap car.

What can I say - the exterior, and the storage capacity. That's it.

Recall them all and fix the front and back tire system. Plus find another tire distributor other than Kumho who can't keep up with the demand, plus the tire is poor quality and very expensive. I waited two months for the tires, my car sat on the lot while I drove a loaner.
2009 Dodge Journey Review:
I have had major problems with it. The power windows, tires, brakes, the transmission knocks when I put it in gear. The rear end wasn't lined up when I got it. It's two years old and I have replaced the tires twice, the rotors and breaks twice. Going to the garage today to get another loaner because of the brakes, my family almost got killed a couple of days ago because of the brakes. The stereo system had to be replaced. I had this car custom made and for $600 a month I think I should be getting more bang for the buck, not complaints. All this started to happen around the 25000 to 30000km mark. The dealership where I have purchased this car are superior, could not ask for better service. They are wonderful and understanding. Sorry Dodge but I feel like I'm transporting my family in a death trap, an accident waiting to happen because of the inconsistencies of this vehicle especially with the brakes and rotors.

Have Journey now for 3 yrs. Front-end vibration, rotors, ticking sounds from engines. Fix these problems, you would get good improvements.

2009 Dodge Journey Review:
I purchases this care last year in April with 12,000 miles on it. I had to replace the brakes in November. My tires knocks when I make a sharp turn, and I believe the trans is about to start giving me problems too! This is my first Dodge and my last! I'm sticking with GMC.

GAS MILEAGE is TERRIBLE 20-28L/110km in the city, not acceptable. Had it checked by dealer who said "it was too bad they put those gauges in that people can see their mileage use now". I bought this because of the gas mileage being advertised as reasonably good. I don't need it perfect, but come on!
Windows don't move in the winter, slightest snow and they freeze up.
Cup holders too low for drivers use, door cup holders are useless, gray seat material stains easy, rear bumper flimsy, paint chips easy, Heater controls should be more accessible to driver side, and front centre arm rest is useless for driver-too low.
So far-no problem with the brakes, but from what I hear, I guess it's something that is bound to happen.
It would be nice if Dodge took notice from what is said by the consumer, and fixed these problems with a recall.
2009 Dodge Journey Review:
I don't think I will be keeping this vehicle. I will be looking at a different dealership for a better vehicle, fairly soon. I have been with Dodge/Chrysler for over 40 years, and I think this is the last for me.

I'm having trouble with a ticking noise that can't seem to be found. I had one injector replace at 4,000 miles because of noise. Now at 18,600 it has started again and have started having trouble with the remote starter.

2009 Dodge Journey Review:
Check engine on again, for the 3 time then goes out and the dealer cannot find problem. This time it is on and staying on. Brakes. Believe everyone on the forum about the brakes. Brakes at 20k, had done at a brake shop. 3 months later needed rotors. 2 months later rotors bad again. Need to use Dodge parts or you will replace pads and rotors every month and car steering wheel will shake at 40 mph.

Let's see where do we start. The car started smelling like roughten eggs and had it to the dealer 4 times with in 3000 miles. Finally after many threats and headaches the had to replace both catalitic converters. At 13,000 miles I needed new brakes on all 4 tires and 4 new rotors to top it off. I will never buy a Dodge again. Back to the foreign market - how sad.
