I love the car, the power, handling, look and etc.

I think it would have to be lighter.
Oops one more thing - I do find Shelby parts kind of expensive.

I don't think anything can touch this car on the road, comparing GM and Chrysler. So this is an excellent car to own.

The pure horse power, the looks, the way it goes from 0 to super fast, and the way it throws my girl friend's head into the head rest on hard take off!!!

Incredible looks, everyone loves these cars. Fast and comfortable. Love the 6sp, no automatic. Love the interior, some complain but I like the all black interior. I don't want chrome rings around my subwoofer or a "softer" looking interior. Closest thing to driving the original 68 Shelby in looks as we will ever see (and I had a 68 Shelby GT500KR). Plenty of head room for a 6ft 5 guy. These cars will always have the classic look of the original Shelby!
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Shelby GT 500?
If you buy one add Ford Racing cold air induction kit (40hp increase) and the KR mufflers (incredible sound).

Power passenger seat, more quality interior components. It's a little sticky getting to 1st.

Power,looks,handeling,easy to drive,great sound. I really enjoy the interior. It's basic without all that high tech computer stuff. Everything is functional and laid out well. I order the preminum interior with ambian lighting...that's it.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Ford Shelby GT 500?
I had to lower the car,change mufflers to a ford racing exhaust system,add cold air induction along with a steeda pulley to gain approx. 100 rwh. You can't beat the return on the investment you receive for these changes. Total dollars which includes a Ford tech that did the work about $3000.00.

I'm 59 and my first new car was a Mach 1 CJ428 in 1969. That was fast but really didn't handle that well. This car corners, brakes, and goes from 0 to fast like cars that cost twice as much. I've had Porsches, V-12 M.B.Z's, B.M.W's, Corvettes and must say this is the first car I get excited about evey time I get into the car!!! It simply doesn't get old. I ordered the car and when it arrived I was going to have all the modifications done before I took delivery...that was a good theory, I drove the car just because I had waited about 6 months since I placed the order and didn't bring it back to the dealer for 2 weeks. I could't bring myself to stop driving it. Those 4 days it took to do the work I wanted done seemed like weeks. If you care to contact me please feel free to do so.
