Pros: What do you like about 2009 Honda Civic Si?
Style, timeless look, no others has the spoilers as sexy as the si...
Si command respects on the road, even though it's much slower than its competitors (Mazda Speed, Colbalt SS, and GTI).
But let's go back to the drawing board... when was the last time you hear someone complaining about the electrical problems on Honda in general? When was the last time anyone has to bring their si in for minor issue? Not that many..
I know that they corrected the trans for 09 model and up... So, as long as i m not whipping the trans.. mine can go up to quarter million miles. ;)
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Honda Civic Si?
Better paint job.
More torque.
Better trans - I have no problem with mine, but I noticed that the gears felt like it's being slammed into when everything is warmed up... I do take good care of my car and never whipped it...but still felt like the trans is not up for the high reeving engine. Better trans is a must.
For those who wished Honda put a turbo in it.. I think different.. There are people out there still like their vehicle to be bolt on performance. So am I, but I don't like to spend an extra 3g every 120k, if lucky, to replace the turbo. Or 600 bucks to rebuild the turbo myself and still might have to bring it to dealer for fine tune... But that's just my opinion.. I could be wrong.
2009 Honda Civic Si Review:
Overall, great car, if you don't whipped it like those kids around my way. I know a kid who went through 3 trans on an 08 Si - he whipped the sh*t out of it.

Very sporty.
Good acceleration.
Good power for a 4 cylinder engine.
Good grip on dry road and cornering is great. Even on wet road, it has good grip and good feedback.
Nice design - dash is nice because it's different and it's simple which is a plus.
Very easy to upgrade to better performance and look of car.
Gear shifting is effortless and clutch is fantastic, very precise engineering by Honda.
Comfortable ride, great seats, but not exactly a Cadillac.
And of course, the reliability and resale value of the Civic.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Honda Civic Si?
Better sound dampening.
An 8 way power driver seat at least.
Better clips for the front bumper attached to the fender, hit anything from the front and the bumper comes off from the corner fender( very hard to fix).
The firewall could be better to reduce engine noise.
The cup holder area can be improved by making the driver feel separated from the passenger like the new Ford Taurus and BMW's. I feel like I'm rubbing elbows with my wife fighting for the armrest.
Stronger front end parts. Let's face it - is a front wheel drive, so it needs strong and quality parts around the engine.
2009 Honda Civic Si Review:
Overall, it is the best investment I made buying a Civic si.
I am very happy with it and I am gong to keep it and upgrade to some race parts. It's not a Porshe, but it's also not 80,000 bucks. For 23,000, almost 200 horsepower sedan, very reliable and best resale value in its class.
Honda did an exceptional job with this car. I just wish their customer service and repair shop was just as great.

Interior is ok but seats are weak. I got into a accident and my seat twisted. I'm only 156 pounds.
Exterior I love it. It's what made me get the car.
Performance is great but I think putting a turbo stock would have been a great seller for Honda.
Front end and trans really need some upgrading. The parts are cheap and they break easily due to the powerful engine. They are just too weak. I think Honda got a little lazy with that.

Better trans and front end.
Better front bumper. I hit a little mound of snow and my bumper clips from the bumper to the fender just popped off - very cheap.
And much better service - I have to drive like 45 mins just to get it.
2009 Honda Civic Si Review:
It's a great car. I love it. I probably will keep it and upgrade it all. But for people who want a everyday driver, I suggest something else unless you enjoy the car sitting in a shop.

Fit and finish excellent.
Ride is good.
Handling great.
Power is respectable.
Sound system great.
Fuel mileage good.
Braking great.
Dash and controls good.
The Civic is tight, seats are comfortable.

Improve road noise.
Reposition the parking brake lever.

I would rather have a Honda for its reliability than a Cobalt and its better performance.

Interior needs better sound proofing. It feels like it's getting worse.
2009 Honda Civic Si Review:
Civic Si is the most fun car I have ever driven that is sub $30k. It handles awesomely, and fuel efficient, too. This really is the best everyday commuter for me, or for anyone who enjoys driving.

The looks are better then older civics. And the navigation is a good feature.

If Honda is going to try and make the Civic somewhat of a fun little sports car then they need to make them with more torque and more pony's. I have the Turbo SS Cobalt 2008 and it would SMOKE the Civic Si, even the older supercharger Cobalt would. If they put a turbo in the Civic Si, daYUM

The sound of the Honda Si is almost sport bike LIKE, as the tack needle arcs through its rev range.
A precise feel to all interior controls lend to the feeling of something more exotic.
The firm solid suspension offers good cornering control.
Shifter placement is spot on.
Clutch let out is just off the floor for that heel toe shifting you might be doing (?)
Four doors add to the Si fun factor and to the overall appeal of the Honda Civic car line.

More bottom end is in need if the Civic Si model is to stay competitive in an already saturated market.
