Pros: What do you like about 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I like the exterior and appearance as well as its cost compared to similar competition.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe?
The fuel consumption is excessive. I had an Acura MDX AWD similar to this with much better mileage.
The seats should have a memory for two drivers.
Also there is not much leg room for the front seat passenger and the driver's seat is much too high for comfort.
2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
While I like the vehicle for the value, there are a number of items that would make it much more pleasing. Better mileage, more front room, and memory seats. I have the middle GLS version with AWD.

Excellent design.
A lot of very good safety features.
Very good visibility for the driver.
Sound system is very nice.
Plenty of room, quiet ride.
The all wheel drive system works fine.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Needs to accelerate better.
Add turn signal on mirrors.
Lower fuel consumption.
Doors do not auto lock when you start the vehicle.
Could offer more toys...
2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
Smooth and easy, the Santa Fe handles the highway, the city well, overall a very nice design inside and out with exceptional safety to keep the kids safe and me when traveling. But I wish Hyundai would add/offer more stuff to the Santa Fe like:
Remote/interior trunk release,
Automatic folding and single mirrors,
Speed sensitive volume compensation,
Tire Pressure Monitoring System,
Voice Recognition, and
Rearview camera.
Over all the Santa IS a very smart choice I own one and I would purchase one again.

The new design is great.
Sound system is ok.
Plenty of room, quiet ride, etc.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Sound System could be better for the mid level vehicle.
Complete rail set, European type ride would have been outstanding.
Fully automatic front seats.
Quicker pick up would be better. Fully
tinted windows on driver side and passenger side.

Overall it's a great value for the price. They have made great quality improvements. I would have never purchased the old Santa Fe. I just think they need to take the performance and handling more serious.

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
Very good car, quality for price.
But I wish the suspension was better. It is definitely too soft and with the manufacturer's 18'' wheels, the suspension feels totally untuned.

All wheel drive system works perfectly as good as my old Subaru.
Fit and finish excellent.
All controls placed so drive can reach them easily.
A stunning crash test rating.

Original tires very low quality (not nearly as low end as the ones that came on my 2006 Honda pilot).
Seating comfort for large folks could be a lot better.
Engine is slightly under powered.
2009 Hyundai Santa Fe Review:
Smooth and easy, the Santa Fe handles the highway, the city and the very difficult unpaved back road mountain here in Colorado.
Replaced the original tires. Result quieter, and picked up 1.5 miles per gallon, better handling, far better breaking on wet roads.
The Santa Fe is very under rated, an Excellent value!

Design & Style, road handling and value.
Very good visibility for the driver.
Sound system in the SE is very nice.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe?
Doors do not auto lock when you start the vehicle.
Driver side window doesn't have a one touch up feature. Slightly smaller engine than the 3.3 with 242hp might improve the gas mileage.

overall a very nice design inside and out with exceptional safety to keep me and the kids safe while traveling! and has a great almost luxury feel to the interior. i would recommend this suv to any body from a 16 year old who has mommy and daddy to buy them a nice new car to a 45 or 50 year old like myself. in fact my 24 year old son just bought one for his fiance!!
