Pros: What do you like about 2009 MINI Cooper?
I love the way my Cooper looks and it is fun to drive - when it is not in the shop.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 MINI Cooper?
Believe the customer when they say something is wrong with the Cooper.
Better seat belt design.
Put a cover under the moon roof - Florida is the sunshine state for God's sake.
Why can't the window and door locks be on the door?
Loose the stupid maintenance miles thing that displays on the little odometer. Make it easy to understand.
Fix the engine buildup issue.
It is either a MINI or a BMW, it can't be both. You can't charge BMW maintenance prices for a MINI or people would have bought a BMW in the first place. $120 oil changes are not appropriate for a 20-30K car. Get real! And $1,200 for a complete brake job?! Get real!!!
2009 MINI Cooper Review:
This car should not have "engine buildup"! This is a chronic problem which will eventually destroy the engine. Mini service is crap - they do not believe a word the customer says until their computer "faults" on an issue and then they rely on BMW to tell them what to do about it. They could care less if it takes a week, two weeks, etc to correct the problem. The seat belts grab and are hard to get between the seat and the exterior wall w/o leaving the door open. MINI's solution for engine buildup was to purchase Shell or Chevron's super gasoline. Which I was doing and this did no good. It took me over 5 months of gripping and complaining with engine lights on and all kinds of stuff to get them to finally address the problem and only after they tried to make it any other problem than "engine buildup". They are a bunch of complete idiots! I have never experience such an incompetent service dept as the one in Palm Harbor, Florida. I traded the car yesterday for a Ford Fusion and I am sure I will not have any of the same idiotic issues as I have had with MINI. Keep looking folks, there are better options. BMW needs a spanking.

Have the mini cooper S convertible.
Fun to drive and obviously no issue with parking.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 MINI Cooper?
Run-flat tires way too sensitive. Have had 2 flats in past 2 weeks.
Also don't like where dials/etc are for windows, lights, etc.
Have difficult time blocking sun when top down, even with sunglasses and visor.

Great for 2nd car. Fast and fun but no room.

Selection is great.
Retained original value is the best part. There are MINI Coopers selling for now what I paid for mine a year and a half ago.
This is a well made, awesome driving machine. There is no reason not to own one of these fuel efficient, environmentally friendly, safe and fun cars.

I really don't have any. I guess if I had to say it would be that every time I go out somewhere I usually have someone admiring the MINI and I have to answer some curious questions.

The cutest looking car out there right now.
The interior design is the best of all. Attention to details is incredible. Every single thing that I tough seems to be well thought through.
It's also zippy. Handles very well, and it's perfect for city living.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 MINI Cooper?
When are they going to start selling the coupe (or a car based on the coupe concept)? The car looks awesome.
2009 MINI Cooper Review:
It is the ideal car for city living. I can't ask for anything better. Yes, it's a bit pricey compared to other "small" cars, but it is worth paying the extra. Life is short, let's have some fun!

When it works properly, I love to drive it.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 MINI Cooper?
I have had several problems with my car. It started with the fuel mixture. The computer had to be reprogrammed and it took over 1 wk. The car has never really idled correctly and does not seem to disengage correctly from the transmission at stops. The power steering stopped working and had to be replaced and now I have problems with the brake light and suspension lights coming on while driving and MINI can not find the problem because it is not registering on the key. When these lights come on, the car seems act similar to when I had fuel mixture issues. I think I am going to trade it in because I am afraid what I will have to deal with after the warranty is up.
