The leather seats are really nice.
Sunroof is great.
It is comfortable and extremely quiet.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Altima?
I hate the cvt engine braking. I simply hate it. So I shift to N going down hills.

I don't like the cvt transmission/engine make so much noise!! Once I get to a higher speed sound goes away.. I don't want to hear any noise..
And the brakes squeak.. Nissan should put in better brakes.

Nissan service department told me that can't doing anything about the noise!!! That is just how the cvt sounds.. Nissan should go back and figure out how to fix this problem..

Looks, I have a brick red with blond leather interior.
I drove this car to Florida after it had 3500 miles and got like 30 mpg.
The car is very peppy too. The car now has 12900 miles and still runs good, no problems.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Altima?
Paint chips very easy on the Nissan Altima, seems it is a thin paint job.
Radio sound on the 2.5S is so so.
CVT transmission is annoying.
Front seat hurts after a while very uncomfortable.
2009 Nissan Altima Review:
Overall it's a good car so far but I'm very disappointed in the way the paint chips from road rash. Front leather seat hurts and is very uncomfortable and I'm 6 ft and 200 lbs!
I do like the car though and fuel savings.

At take off there is a small vibration coming from the passenger side. It only makes a noise when the car is shifting itself in to gear. (I have a belt driven transmission.) The noise sounds like it is coming from passenger side dash. IDK Please help!

2009 Nissan Altima Review:
I hate I purchased this car. The first week I got it I called in on it. I took it back for a front wheel alignment after having it for a week. It rides so rough and the brakes squeaks like crazy. I really hate I purchase this car. However I am waiting for the right opportunity to either trade or for their recall. Nissan, I am an unsatisfied customer.

I had the car for two weeks and it has less than 500 miles on it, mostly visiting the dealer about an annoying vibration at highway speed.

Nice lines outside.

Mechanically it sucks. Purchased the car march 2009 new. Had problem with battery, in July. Going back and fourth for a month with Nissan n.a. I finally got my money back for the purchase of a new battery 275.00. Now the engine is making a knocking noise when starting in the cold weather while driving the car until the engine warms up. It sounds like you're in a m.r.i. machine. It fades away somewhat as it heats up, but you still can hear it vaguely as you start at a dead stop. Now I'm getting a howling grinding metal on metal sound when I make a full four corner turn. Now with these recalls I feel like running the car off a cliff.
2009 Nissan Altima Review:
Had all 4 of the different model Altimas and 1 Maxima 1994, but the 2009 is the most troublesome one I have owned.
Very disappointed Nissan customer.

Acceleration.
Dealership.
Warranty on trans.
Regular fuel.
Heated seats.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Altima?
Interior door pulls should be washable material, not cloth.
Wiper overlap pattern not good, Honda is the better way to go.
Parking brake is in an awkward position.
Rearview mirrors should be 5cm. lower.
Noisy engine, sound proofing material is needed.
Brake pedal is too close to gas pedal.
This car needs a real cargo net.

I love my 2009 Nissan Altima!!!!!!!! The Interior seems kind of simple yet it IS the FIRST car in its class to have push button start and now all the newer cars are just copy cats! LOL! The ride is very smooth.

I hate the stereo quality! Its horrible!!! I always have my bass on 0 and will hear that rattling noise! Nissan I love U but get better quality speakers!

It is a much better buy than both the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord!!! Trust me I've owned a 2008 Camry and 2009 Honda Accord and the Altima totally out does them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great on the hwy.
Super gas mileage for a fullsize car my wife drives it everyday and we put about 20 dollars a week in it.
The 2.5 liter has more than enough power.
Lots of room inside there are 5 of us.
It's a quiet car inside and out.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Altima?
The only one I can think of is the sound of the engine. I personally don't care. For me it's about gas mileage over performance but for those of you out there who like the throaty sound the 2.5 liter sounds like a sawing machine.
2009 Nissan Altima Review:
Great car. We have had it 6 months now and it's been so nice to own. Owned last car was a GM Saturn - just junk in 4 years with only 30,000 k on it. It fell apart, from leeks, to the front end always in for service. But thanks to Nissan they have put out an allround good car for the money we spent.
