Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
I like the over all looks. Love the ground clearance. I love being able to back out of my drive way with out the drag of the underside of the car. And being able to drive up to a parking block, without the scraping of the underside of my front end before my tires can hit the block. Being able to get in under the steering wheel with out moving the seat back. The multiple cup holders. I appreciate the riders being happy with the room they have in the rear seats, this with out my having to move my drivers seat up. And my still leaving me enough storage room in the rear.

The car plenty of get up and go for me. I especially appreciate the location of the cruise control in the center of the steering wheel. And the simple buttons to operate it.

One unexpected plus I have on this car, that I never experience on my other cars. Is the automatic unlocking of all the doors when I take my keys out of the ignition. I find this not only saves me a step of using the unlock button. But also a good reminder of taking the keys out.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
I am down to the cup holders in this car. lol I love the fact there are extra cup holders. But I hope the day will come. When some one would realize we are past the 12oz can size now. And come up with a good holder for the mega drinks of today.

I guess my only real complaint I have for the driving of this car, is in a drizzle rain. The intermittent wipers, rear wiper and all. Are clustered together on an up down, dual twist control arm. Partially hidden from site behind the steering wheel. There have been times my wife had to reach over to try to help me. And she too was finding it hard to figure out which control, operated the front wipers, and speed. So I could concentrate on my driving in the rain.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
Tired of the cost for filling my gas tank, and how often. I decided to take the drastic step of moving down from a large car, to a subcompact. I went looking for a cheap car, that would get top gas mileage.

I was ready to give up the comforts of my big car, to save money on gas. And was asking my self. What money would I be saving if I were just to spend big money up front buying a new car? So I went looking at that cheap "eye catching price" advertised price car.

I was in for a shock. It looked like the inside of an empty can. Nothing in there! I had known crank windows. But I hadn't stop to realize this was going to mean. No arm rest. No cup holder. No radio. No cruise control. NO AIR CONDITIONING! No automatic transmission.

I didn't think I was ready for this! So decided I was going to have to move up the scale in price. And as I added on extras, I found the price did slide up fast!

But I am happy with the choice I made of buying my Nissan Versa hatch back.

Since both my wife and I didn't mind driving a stick shift. I found the money I could save by going to the six speed manual. I found I could have all the extras, that over the years I had became addicted to. And still be staying in a fairly low price range I was looking for.

About the only down thing friends have mentioned. Is the radio being pretty basic. But I think I am finding this to be a plus for me, because of its simple operation. I have had radios, I had trouble finding the turn on button, not to mention the operation of it.

It was my hope I wasn't going to be too unhappy taking this big step down in driving comfort, going from my big car, to a small car.

You know what! I don't think I am missing my big car much, if at all. By that I mean. If I were to go out to my drive way with a choice of this little car, and a big car to run about town. I'm sure I would be getting into this one.

And while I haven't driven this Nissan over the road yet. I do not think I am going to be too disappointed in its comfort over a long drive. What I am sure of. What ever difference I may find. May not seem all that important to me. As I am able to appreciate the prices of the fill ups of this Nissan at the gas pumps.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Peppy if coaxed into it.

Interior room of a full size sedan, at the cost of potential cargo space.

Doesn't look or feel as cheap as subcompacts in its class.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
A leisurely start from a dead stop can be painfully slow, and I've got the 122hp 1.8 liter. If you wind it up a little before hand you'll scoot off the line like a sports car, but I don't want to burn my clutch up. At 3k miles now and as the rest of the car is limbering up, first gear still seems geared a little too high.

Any bodies you may have to transport will have to ride shotgun, all that extra interior space puts the rear seats right up against the window and trunk space suffers.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
First off I have to address the previous review. With all due respect, I don't believe this person is used to driving a 4cyl compact type car.

The stereo in the S-model is basic but functional and actually sounds really full (if a little boomy) and I've never found myself missing a scan button. The idea that any car in good working order would go flying off in a random direction while braking is absurd - now, I've got the ABS package, but I've found this car to be much more manageable under hard braking than my Mazda 626, a much larger and lower-set vehicle.

I did my research when I bought this car for a commuter, I put 100 miles a day on it and I'm glad I selected the car that I did. The Fit, the xA, the Focus (Vibe, Matrix, Rio, everybody makes one of these little egg shaped hatchbacks) all perform a little sportier on city streets at the expense of a more solid ride and interior space you get with the Versa.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Quiet, easy to drive, seats are quite comfortable especially on a long drive of 10 hours or so.
It's easy on gas and lots of room for passengers, front and rear.
I bought it because it can be towed behind a motorhome and that makes it a great choice for RVers. It's a great little car and the price is right.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
Several items: There is only one door lock on many cars these days and another door lock on passenger door would be helpful. The back seat on my car does not fold down.
Car could be more stable in heavy winds.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
Very comfortable seating, lots of room and an Excellent car for the price. RVers should place this car on top of their lists for toads.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Ride and ease of entry.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
I have a problem with my 2009 versa. At times the engine races and the tac go up in the red. Have it back to the shop for the fifth time it has done this. On the fourth time they replaced the throttle assemble and it was ok for a while. Then this week it did the same thing, and my wife said she will never drive the car. Will be Back at the shop Tuesday and will see what they will do this time. I am losing any hope of them fixing it right. Has anyone else had this problem?

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
very roomy on the inside.
Decent power on the road, especialy when passing.
Smooth quiet inside.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
Some small electrical bugs, day time driving lights quit after a couple months. Dead headlamp.
It would be handy to have the ability to open trunk with a key instead of the driver door being unlocked.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
Great performance, found no issues of being blown around on the highway at high speeds, braking is good, really quiet inside, we have just the base model and the stereo sounds awesome for a small car.

Right off the line it is a bit sluggish, but if you're already moving 20 or so km an hr then it really takes off, passing on the highway is simply amazing.

Seats are really comfy and lots of interior space. Front and rear windows got a lot of moisture on them at least twice so far.

Over all it is great.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Comfortable ride when I can see out the windows.
Suspension.
Fuel efficient.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
First winter with the new car and the windows freeze up on the inside and do not open. Defrost is slow and noisy. Hatch does not close properly without pressure.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
Word to the wise, if you live in the north purchase your new vehicle in the deep of winter.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Gas mileage is still at 30 mpg in Atlanta traffic after 1300 miles.
Cavernous, super quiet interior for such an inexpensive vehicle. Very comfortable.
Easy to drive even in high winds from other vehicles or Mother Nature.
Excellent visibility.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
They should put arm rest/console combo in all of these cars.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
I would recommend this car to anyone looking to save a lot of money on operating cost. I was extremely surprised at the build quality of such an inexpensive car. I am quite happy with this car and hope to have it for many years to come.

Pros: What do you like about 2009 Nissan Versa?
Nothing.

Cons: How would you improve 2009 Nissan Versa?
Drown it.

2009 Nissan Versa Review:
I rented a Versa from Hertz for a 500 mile trip. I dub it "the tuna can of death". So small it gets very windblown on the highway. Shiny bumper is designed so anybody loading luggage into trunk scratches the bumper. So cheap, radio doesn't have a scan button. But biggest problem is safety; if you have to hit the brakes while driving at high speed (in traffic through Atlanta, say) the car swerves almost uncontrollably; sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right. An inexperienced driver would not have survived the trip.
