Pros: What do you like about 2009 Scion xB?
I totaled my 2005 scion on February 24, 2010. I just bought a 2009 xB.
I like the more room it has behind the rear seat.
I love the room at the front seats.
I like that the right hand armrest is on the drivers seat.
Radio is just the same.
I love the cruise control.
I hate the mileage - it is quite low compared to the 33 plus up to 38 miles to the gallon I got on my 2005 automatic.
I love the extra places to put drinks.
Love the driver seat goes up and down.
I hate the small visor that lets the sun in. I invented some that I will put on this xB, it will keep the sun out of you face when the sun shines in from the left.
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Scion xB?
More mileage: at least over 34 mpg. Sure it has the larger Camry engine and transmission for those that want power.
Softer seat feel.
When I drive I always remove the passengers head rest, so I get better view when changing lanes.
Wish there were red lights on the door edge when the door is opened, it can be seen from behind. That would be for safety, like for bicycles.
2009 Scion xB Review:
I just drove this from San Diego to Sonoma county. The ride was a little bumpy almost like the old 2005 xB. I'm thinking of installing the Firestone air suspension kit on it. The rear seat do lay quite flat and the rear cargo area has more room for all my bowling balls and groceries.
Strange how the new headlights work. The normal light are just two small projecting lamps and the high beam turns on the two large lamps.

Toyota has paid attention to the ergonomics and important technical aspects. The centrally located instrument cluster with the correct mix of digital and analog displays, the precise handling (with the optional rear anti-sway bar to minimize the oversteer inherent to all front wheel drive cars), a well matched engine to automatic transmission and big disc brakes all around to match the peppy engine are several examples of my likes..
Cons: How would you improve 2009 Scion xB?
A larger fuel tank would be handy for longer trips. I drive on the top half of the tank only, the same way I fly my airplane.

The space inside is phenomenal! Anyone that looks inside is awe struck by all the room. Even the tallest people sit comfortably.

I love the exterior design, a little retro, a little modern, with a touch of gangsta, hip, and yet futuristic. The interior space is awesome, comfortable, quiet. This ride is so versatile; transports passengers in comfort like a sedan, hauls stuff like an suv, and yet handles like a sports car....Yes, I love my XB.

Always can improve the miles per gallon on any vehicle. Add a USB port.
2009 Scion xB Review:
I looked at Nissan Cube and KIA Soul before purchasing and the XB won out on all levels...plus it's a dependable Toyota. I am 6'2" and this ride has the most comfortable, roomy interior for me...plenty of head and leg room. The backseat passenger room is also tops. I have gotten lots of compliments and most are knocked out by the interior space. I can sleep comfortably in the back. Great sound system and acoustics. Look forward to a road trip!

Better performance. Maybe more horse power. But wouldn't trade for MPG.
2009 Scion xB Review:
Love xB. Nissan and Kia now both have an imitation, but this xB beats them hands down. The look has a sense of refinement now, and it has also become more futuristic than the predecessor.
The interior is what I like the most about. When I first saw a taxi cab using xB, I was amazed at how much stuff can be fit into this car. The boxy style is the most efficient use of the space.
xB is the best car out of all "hip" looking cars out there. I highly recommend it!

Amazing interior space.
Clean exterior look.
Has all the basic stuff for everyday use. Very utilitarian.
Quiet driving.

Better standard wheels.
2009 Scion xB Review:
I compared this to Kia Soul and Nissan Cube, and by far xB is the best. Soul does have cooler looking interior. Cube has more funky exterior. xB has the best package overall.
xB feels much more expensive. The quality of material seems higher, the look more refined, and the drive is quieter and sturdier.
No need to soup up for everyday use. It already has everything I need. I do have seen some guys went crazy with aftermarket stuff. The car can get really cool, but who needs them these days.
I highly recommend this car.
