Pros: What do you like about 2010 Kia Forte?
- Handling.
- Design.
- Comfort.
- Heated seats, outside mirrors and wipers.
- Bluetooth.

Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
- DO NOT GET WINTER TIRES FROM KIA! They are good for highways but horrible under a snow storm and in a city! Got stuck for the 1st time in my life with the same usual amount of snow.
- Outside noise (car is very badly insulated). My old 1998 Corolla was better!!!
- Plastic interior (I am always afraid of scratching it!)
- Weird noises from passenger seat - Kia fixed a shaking noise for the first time and now I have a vibration noise. Weird.
2010 Kia Forte Review:
Very good car for the price paid. Very good bumper to bumper warranty (5 years or 100000 km), the best among all subcompacts in the same price range. Nice to drive and good looking car. Because the car looks cool and sporty, I have the impression the engine is not strong enough but hey, that's what I bought: a cheap subcompact that is equivalent to a Chevy Cruze, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Versa and so on... THEY ARE ALL CHEAP! THEY HAVE A LOT OF PLASTIC ON THE BASIC VERSIONS!

Pros: What do you like about 2010 Kia Forte?
Comfortable, roomy, great gas economy.
I have a sedan with sunroof, cruise, bluetooth - I liked the features for the price.
As a woman buyer, I was impressed with salesperson who wasn't pushy - but, when I had what I felt was a warranty issue and wanted to speak with the salesperson who sold me the car - he no longer worked there which was very disappointing and 'not confidence inspiring'. I have received courteous, timely service from the Service Department. Not always the results I'd like but very personable, courteous, and friendly staff in Sherwood Park, AB.
Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
1) I'm not impressed with the way my KIA Forte handles on ice. Spoke to dealership was told to get Winter Tires! New Car in Alberta - "All Season Tires" should mean all-season tires and shouldn't require replacing in the first month of ownership!
2) Sound quality of bluetooth is poor; radio was replaced to try to improve the quality - some improvement! I've never had this feature before so it is nice but I would use it more if the sound quality were better.
3) Feature whereby volume of radio increases or decreases with acceleration / deceleration is a joke! I have driven other cars with this feature and it was great. With the Forte, it is hard to tell the car has the feature. Service Dept says - that's as good as it gets with the Forte.
4) Cruise control - only good for acceleration. Don't rely on it when you are going downhill; it accelerates and you have to use your brake (if you want to avoid a speeding ticket - speaking from experience!).
5) Remote start - I requested a remote start from the Dealership. Not available. Gave me two possible contacts.... Not impressed.
2010 Kia Forte Review:
In general I like the car; I especially liked it before the snow and ice hit - now I am having to look at a big bill to get snow tires and I think that is a rip off when you have just purchased a new car (I would have been better off to have purchased it with snow tires since "all-season" tires apparently mean "summer" tires!).
Other than the tires issue, the other complaints I have are minor and 'you get what you pay for' so perhaps my expectations were too high - coming from a full size, North American car to the KIA.

2010 Kia Forte EX:
Exterior design looks great.
Interior roomy and comfortable.
Trunk space is surprisingly large for a compact car.
Great cost for performance.
Automatic transmission responds well and the fuel efficiency is great.
Standard accessories (blue tooth, Sirius-XM, power doors) are a nice bonus.
Center console looks great as well.
Kia's warranties extend beyond the rest of the market adding extra security.
Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
Suspension could be improved.
Interior plastic on doors mark up easily as noted by others.
2010 Kia Forte Review:
I was skeptical when I walked into the dealership but once I hopped in and test drove the Kia Forte I was sold. I got two dealerships into a bidding war over my sale and got a great deal for the EX model.
I am very happy with my new ride and would recommend it to others. The ergonomic interior is amazingly comfortable and sleek. The suspension could be improved but is in no way a deal breaker. Automatic transmission accelerates a little slow compared to other cars but I switch over to manual and drop a gear to give myself a little extra boost when merging onto busy highways.
Overall, the Kia Forte is a surprisingly great car and an exceptionally cost effective vehicle.

Squeaky lock springs, harsh shifting, auto locks only operate occasionally, doors are balanced so they close on you, cruise control operates intermittently, ac is weak, climate control fan squeals, steering wheel leather wore out...
2010 Kia Forte Review:
I bought a brand new 2010 sx sedan. I've driven it for 9 months and in my opinion it's a heap of trash. I owned a Neon previously and the Forte is not even close. Sure the car looks nice, and boasts a generous amount of options but once the glamour fades (along with your paint and leather) your stuck with a car that's only worth 3/5 of what you paid for it. I've had a transmission blow 2nd gear, steering wheel worn out, cruise control switches (brake switch) failures, horrible chipping paint, among other issues. Though corporate has helped a bit, overall I absolutely regret buying this car. I suggest to everyone considering this car to make darn sure you get a good one, as for me I think I'm going VW.

I bought mine brand new in Nov. 2010...This is the very first Kia I have ever owned & I love everything about it so far.....
Great looking car, Awesome stereo system, Handles extremely well, and it is very peppy.....A light press on the gas & ya almost get whiplash....
Has excellent fuel economy too! I average about 430 miles to a tank...& that is in general stop & go traffic....

Definitely put better tires on the cars....Wow...They are junk!
Other than that....Absolutely nothing.....It's a Great car.

Great on gas mileage.. nice exterior... drives well (I have the manual transmission) and love the sliding sun roof..HOWEVER
Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
It snowed!! Basically got stuck at the bottom of a hill (that was not that steep and was plowed). This car does not handle at all on the packed snow. Thankfully we live in an area that does not get tons of snow..but I will probably trade this in withing two years for something with a little better handling..(especially with the ice age coming and all. ;)

All-season tires are crap. I put on snow tires less road noise from winter tires. Check front seat for wear. Had mine done over all ready. 35000k A friend is starting to have same problem. Plastic interior is garbage - it scratches up so easy.

The workmanship and material are not in the forte. It is a disposable car.

Lots of people here have problems with the car on snow. I have the Forte koupe ex, and it is very good on snow. I like it!

It is a nice looking car.
I love the heated leather seats and radio controls on the steering wheel.
We bought this car brand new and found it to have a lot of interior room to be a smaller car.
Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
I loved this car when we bought it but then realized every time you touched the interior panels it would scratch. There is no way to clean up the scratches as the panels are plastic. It's horrible and I'm dreading what it will look like in 2 years. I wince anytime a person gets in the passenger seat and brushes against a panel.
This car will NOT GO in snow. The tire stabilization system is a joke. We have another midsize Kia and we have had NO PROBLEMS in 5 years. The first snow we got, we got stuck several times. I just got stuck yesterday, in literally a 1-2 inch snow (which the street had been plowed once). I dread driving the car in the winter. It will skid while braking- every time there is a bit of snow or ice. I don't know if I will waste the money on snow tires because if they don't help the car, I'm liable to drive it straight to Ford or Chevy, anywhere actually and trade it in. I am disgusted with the way it drives and handles in the snow and will never recommend this car to anyone. My uncle has the exact same car and he has the exact same problems.

Overall, I loved the car until the first snow. I would never recommend this to anyone that might encounter snow in the car's lifetime. I would have recommended it to anyone that would listen until the snow. I do not live in a bad winter weather state so there no excuse that the cars do not handle well. Each time I am stuck in the snow, I see many Fords, Chevy's, Toyotas, etc. drive by with NO PROBLEMS. I am going to talk to my husband tonight about trading it in on something else. If I had read the reviews I would never have bought this make of car.

I needed something dependable with a good warranty that I didn't have to put a ton of money into every other month. This car achieves that much for me. It looks great on the outside and the inside.
Cons: How would you improve 2010 Kia Forte?
I bought my Kia Forte in mid-July. Overall the car is pretty cheap. Part of the interior seat fabric melted near the windows in the summer time when the metal part of the seat belt was hanging over it. I have had 0 accidents and yet I have a crack in my bumper already from the snow, ice and salt wear. The tires really do suck in the snow. Even between 5 & 10 miles an hour I slide with breaking and the traction does not work at all. It just makes the car shake. The blue tooth system works when it wants to and I agree that the quality is pretty dingy- with the exception that it worked on my brothers I-phone like a charm & with no issues. Also, because of the way the rear seats are made at an incline, it does not accommodate a larger car seat for an infant/baby so I have no idea what I am going to do when my son gets bigger before I can put him into a booster seat. That alone really made me want to call the dealer and complain.
2010 Kia Forte Review:
It serves its purpose for the time being. I would have preferred a Honda Civic as I love the way they are made (they run great and last long if you take care of them) with the exception that they are really expensive to repair. Kia's ok. Not the best, but definitely had worse.
